OK, I give up. Been playing around with my avatar this morning because the quality of my old one stunk. Downloaded three avatar programs, tried differant pics all the same deal. So how to you make a nice one?

I think the photo you are trying to use it too big. You can use some online image resizing sites and they will usually work. Or if you want to you can post the picture on here and I will try to re-size it.

When I resize it it gets smaller but still blurry? Oh well, here.

Its a small pic in your avatar anyways so it wouldent show mouch detail anyway.But now we see the big picture!

Butch, some photo resizers tend to blur.  I used MS photo manager and it will blur pictures.  HTH
If you don't like your 220, I would like a chance at it-BTW, blurry means it is going fast

Thanks Joe, much better. I think the 220 will have a home here for a while but will keep you in mind.

Butch - your avatar image is square and your photo is rectangular.  First crop the side edges of your photo to make it square then resize it smaller.  That should reduce the distortion of the picture once it gets to the avatar size.  Mike
