Not gonna push it on the Allis Facebook page, but a guy there insists that the steel WC rear end was done in 45 only. I haven't seen a list and not sure an official one exists.

I know we got them in '44 and '45. They made have been made only in 1944 but some were delivered to dealers in 1945.
Good Luck! Bill Long ps: I am not at home so do not have my library references to accurately verify

Ed Mills has collected a wealth of SN data on the WC tractors, including wartime production. Some of his data is posted on Bryan Smith's website. I have personally seen a late '46 WC with the wartime steel rear end (SN 150xxx S). When I sent that data to Ed years ago, that was the 2nd highest wartime WC he had on record (the highest SN was 153xxx).

Terry Deans book has them starting at SN 132005 or so, that'd be late 44. Anyone know total production numbers? It seems they ran some stamped and some cast at the same time, or were they all cast from 132xxx through late 45/early 46? Can't believe there isn't a production number on them. The parts book simply lists a page with the stamped rearend, but gives no serial number breaks.
