I get several emails daily wth links to 'new and exciting' tech, mostly from the automotive market..
A sampling... Your Audi Can Now Predict Changes in Traffic Lights .. great more useless, expensive electronics to go wrong and doesn't DO anything... HYbrids getting 42 volt battery systems .. hmm, decade a go 'they' were going to replace all 12 volt cars with 42 volt ones. That died, after billions invested in 'chips' being deisgned for 42 volts. Seems someone decided to use some of the tech. Cars STILL have a 12V battery in them though for those silly things like lights, stereos, pwr window motors, etc. meanwhile , I'm wondering if there IS a market for 'device' that allows 4 pin trailers to have backup and work lights WITHOUT any additional wiring? I believe you'd have to go through the ground pin in the connector then find a new ground. Through the ball would probably work. You'd have to use back up lights as usual then have a switch on the trailer for work lights I guess

NOPE, that's NOT how it's done. The wiring is 100% original so white is ground, brown tailights, green for right turn/brk, yello for left turn/brake. NO modification to the wires or their functions.
and..... it gets better.. control of the backup and /or work lights is from inside the truck WITHOUT any fancy 'key fob/ remote pushbutton' devices. |
