What year did the B come out with the 5 bolt rear wheels? also was the adjustable wide front a option the whole production life of the B ? Are they more collectable? I just want one to use. Thanks again.

I have 1938 #B450 equipped with the arched adjustable front axle and shallow dished rear wheel centers. The shallow dishes have the 5 bolt centers, but they are attached to the standard spline B axle with spline to 5 lug adapters. I also have a '40 B with the 5 lug rear axles and standard B/C dished rear wheel centers.

The book says 1939 at serial # 12585 the dish wheels came out and the adjustable straight axels came out in 1940, before that you could get adjustable or fixed arch axels. As far as collectable I wish mine had the arched rather than the straight front.
