My first tractor, D19 desiel with a loader, just bought it about three months ago. In the process of converting the loader from a pto pump to a front mounted crank driven pump. I know I need to take pictures and post them. I keep telling myself but I never do.

180 was my first. Traded it for a 200 factory cab with ac. Sold it for my now 7045PS. Then dad bought a 38' UC for me. I bet I never live to see it sold. I then bought BV's 7080 with long axles and spinout dauls.

A John Deere pedal tractor 620,I think.Parents were not going to spend time or money finding me an A/C pedal tractor.I used to pull around a piece of metal that used to attatch the sickle mower to the D-17.I called it my plow and would pull it back and forth in the driveway making straight little rows. How one of the hired hands did not run me over I will never know.
Recently bought a D-17 SerIV a few years ago. That is the first real tractor I personally owned

My disease was started when I pulled my Dad's WD45 out of a fencerow that it had been sitting for seven years.  He bought it new in 1954.  After three hours of cleaning, and oiling it fired up.  I was hooked.

I first learned to drive tractor on a Allis B that Dad bought used in the late 40's. He traded it on a 1955 CA and my brother and I were with him when he bought it. I still have the CA and use it. Will have to post some pictures of it.

Age 22 a WD45D.  Found at a jockey yard with a broken #6 piston and like new tires .  Rebuilt the engine, repainted and used it 10 years on my first farm as the primary tractor.  Sold it and did not realize what I had until 30 years later.  But there was life after-now have two.

Bought my own first tractor this fall,AC model M crawler,I bought it cause' it was cheap and looks like a pretty nice machine,it's not in bad shape and I think I can make it run pretty easy, tracks are in good shape and it's just a nice looking tractor that I can haul around with my pickup.

My 1941 B. Bought it about 1982 from an AC dealer in Auburn, Maine. I just looked for the receipt but did not find it. When the G is finished this winter, the B comes in for a "real" restoration. I need to do the head and a good paint job. Bob@allisdowneast

The first new tractor we got was a '52 JD "G".  The next new was a '54 WD-45 Diesel.
Dad was a relatively new dealer(start-up in '53) and I just had to have one on the farm.
Got it with a 4-14 semi-mt slat bottom plow.  - AL

First of my own, 1946 C. Learned how to drive on my grandad's 1950 C. I couldn't see getting anything else first. Now, maybe an unstyled WC(got a lead on one sitting in a fencerow). Neighbor down the road has an immaculate 5020 that may be for sale in a little while. See where this is heading?LOL!
I didn't do it! It was a short, fat, tall, skinny guy that looked like me!

A JD 60 Row Crop. Bought it at an auction and drove it  about 50 miles home, one winter evening.   Pretty cool.
Later a WD and a D4 5T.
Now just a 170 Gas.

My brother and I had a 1938 AC-B that actually belonged to a neighbor.  He was away most of the time, and came to Stamford (NY) about once a month.  He didn't want the tractor to sit idle, so he asked us to use it and keep it busy.  We agreed, and did just that. We made a few bucks plowing gardens and such, and had a great time tinkering and chasing around on the tractor before we had our drivers licenses.  I wish I had the money to buy it when the owner passed away and the estate was liquidated.  That was about 52 years ago.

It had a cultivator, which we made into a center-mount snow plow, and a 2-way plow.  I didn't use the left-hand plow very much, but it did add weight and balance the rear. We had a spring-tooth harrow, and I usually didn't bother to hook up the drawbar to use it.  I just hooked a chain to the plow.  I spent most of the time using the harrow with the front wheels waving in the wind and steering with the brakes.  If I had ever caught one of my kids pulling that stunt today I would probably give them a set of brains real fast.  I'm just lucky to have survived those days.

when I moved to the suburbs (our first house), I got the bug and bought a good, used Massey MF12 garden tractor.  Very well built units.

The snow blower was a dream when living in the snowbelt, downwind of Lake Michigan.

My first tractor was a 4020 JD pedal tractor I got for Christmas in 1970 and I got it for Christmas again in 2008 completely restored. My dad said the restoration cost much more than the original price. The first real tractor I bought was a 1957 D14. I wish I could get it back for christmas.
