Don't have the tractor in front of me right now.  What group size 12V battery will fit in a WD45 (battery box)

Has to be the smallest one you can buy. Not sure what the group size is.

I believe the WD45 gas with one battery used a BCI group 1, 6 volt battery.  A number of 12 volt batteries will physically fit in the box.  You do need to get the proper terminal location for your cables as many 12 volt batteries have terminal location options in the same group size.  Here is a BCI chart so you can match to the group 1 size.  Note the posts are included in the height of top post batteries.  Once you get the physical size you like, you can look at CCA ratings.

I have a 26A-2 in mine. 540 CCA and it's always started on the coldest days.
