 Topic: What is a narrow front CA worth?

Comes with a 2 bottom pin hitch plow. Narrow front, front tires look poor. Rear tires look ok. Right now owner has a hard time getting it started, but he did have it running for a bit, but it cranks over really slow, and there is a toolbox fabbed up right behind the starter, so the starter isn't so easy to pull out and check it over. So without it running what is it worth? Sheetmetal appears to be nice but in another picture, there is two small holes by the air cleaner hole and another hole by the top of the gas tank, so I don't know if the hood was a replacement that came off of a power unit? Anyways, here is a picture:

The power unit had the rectangle tank with the fill hole at the rear of the hood. two small holes in hood are typical of the gasoline starting tank mounting point.

Any Idea of the serial number? Having a pin hitch and that old style air cleaner it would be early 53 or older I think.

I didn't have the heart to ask the wife for permission. And I still have a D19 on the trailer. It is sold already. Not running, the guy wanted 800. Thought it was a steal but I dont' have the time to mess with another or the shed space. And I already have one tractor sitting outside. This one was too nice to join it.

It still could be a PU hood if the hole where the oil fill cap comes thru is a oval. And The 2 small holes are behind the Air Cleaner stack. P Units had a tall Stack. I think the stack support bolted to the hood using the 2 small holes. There should be a round hole close to the rear edge for the PU gas tank. IF it was a dual fuel hood there would be 3 more holes opposite side from the exhaust. 2 small and 1 bigger.

Not all PU hoods had an oval hole for a lifting lug. I have two of them that are definately PU hoods that do not.

I don't know how buy you may want to check the hand clutch. If they don't work it can be pricey unless you bolt them up.
Other than that it looks OK.
