I was looking for a tractor to help level out all the truck loads of dirt I had hauled in. got a good deal on an AC WD45, it came with two !53 plows and a two row cutivator, then the bug got me. a guy stopped by and wanted to know if I was interested in a 80R mower, the price was right and now its mine. Then came the 302 baler, I bale straw on my son-in-law's and his friends field. The son-in-law and I have fun mowing down the weeds after the straw is in. I use the money I make selling straw to fix the tractor and buy impliments for it. I have in my collect two 66 allcrops, a 200 series disk, 1200 series field cultivator, a subsoiler, a s/c blade and just picked up a 4 row s/c drill planter to add to the collection.

I just keep buying and fixing up AC's because I was 'weaned' on them as a youngster and as I got older I figured what the heck I love them so why not stick with them. My newer philosophy with farming now is to not unhook implements...so I am on a buying spree! lol Dana

Hi

For real AC Equipment, all I have for now is a 1977 Allis- Chalmers 720 Garden tractor with 60" deck, but someday I would like to add a 620 and a 616 to the collection. I do have two Agco Allis mowers that still earn there keep in my lawn maintence business. I started my business with a 95 Agco Allis 1614H lawn tractor with 38" deck and 14hp Kohler engine, really great mower and got me up and running. Later on I added a 1996 Agco Allis 1920H( Simplicity Sunstar) with 48" deck, that I also used to blow snow with up till this year when I got my Deere 2305 sub-compact. That Agco 1920H could really move the snow and did a really nice job cutting grass. Its getting higher in hrs now... I bought it with 351 hrs and now it has 1,337hrs on the kohler engine. I use it mainly for powersweeping now.

As for what else I collect, I am into Farm Toys, mainly AC/Gleaner and John Deere, I have about 40-42 different Gleaner scale models in different scales and a bunch of 64th AC toys and a few 1/16th ones as well. My granddad had the New Idea dealer in town back in the mid 50's to mid 60's, so we have some New Idea toys in the collection as well.
