Retired from racing, time to restore the tractor. New to the tractor scene and believe I have a D14 but want to make sure exactly what I have and the year so I can get the correct parts. Where do I find the serial number and then where can I cross reference the serial number? Thanks

You can figure out what tractor you have by the serial number. On the bell housing left (drivers) side, should be a number if you have a D14, it will start with D14. Then you can look at various refferences to find year and series information. There is a serial number refference page link on the main page of this website. |

Left side torque tube flange should be the tractor number. If you go to the [Main Page] you can then go the the serial number reference page.

Does it look like these ones? 1958 on the left and 1959 D14 on the right.

TR, yes the serial numbers are stamped on the bell housing on the driver's side. Maybe faint and hard to read, use chaulk to highlight. Serial numbers are thus, 1001 start 1957, 9400 start 1958, 14900 start 1959, and 21800 start 1960. The D-14 I have looks like the one above on the left with number D-14 21539, 1959. Welcome and good wrenching.
