Just wondering if anyone has ever replaced the pivot pin for the front end of a WF? How did you get the pin out? I'm not sure if the retaining pin is pressed in, threaded (I doubt) or how it comes out.
One end seems to have a head on it (maybe like a rivet) and the other end is flat. I have pounded on it, but nothing moves. I am thinking of using heat or trying to hold it in the press, but I'm hoping someone can tell me what holds the retaining pin in. |

I knocked mine out with a hammer and punch as it’s a straight pin
Then pressed out the pivot pin.

Carefully grind the head of that retaining pin down to remove any burrs or mushroomed end. Use heat and Kroil, worst case drill it out. You can use a center punch to get a divot started in the center of that pin and use the same size drill bit as the pin to remove the end of the pin if you can't reach it with a grinder.
