I bet those weather people at the National Hurricane Center and the offices that were effected by Ida slept good today.  They really nailed every move she made, and way in advance.  I bet they saved a lot of lives throughout the entire ordeal, and are still doing it as she continues on making power go out across the nation!  I'm just really impressed with how they nailed down it's path.  I was a little leery about that hard right turn, but it did just what they said.  Great job by a bunch of Government employees!

I agree, they saved lives. I use NOAA for weather forecasts and the majority of time they get it right. I don't think they're sitting around with a don't give a crap attitude. It would have been a different outcome with no warning that's for sure.

Can you imagine "back in the day" when hurricanes, and other severe weather, showed up with no advance warning ?

I agree that they did a great job, as normal !
