just curious, it looks like the props were not turning.  I wonder if that was a dead stick landing?

I don't agree, all kinds of noise coming out of the windy city along with all the hot air. Rod B is on trial again and will probably get off scott free after lying, stealing and cheating everybody in the state.
I guess we are still on the wrong forum. Sorry!

Jeff, I feel much better now that I know how to spell Illinois and fire. You know I and O is very close together on the keyboard and along with that there is the age factor. I do enjoy most of your posts as you seem to have a sense of humor, so keep up the good work, reminding us oldtimers to watch our grammar and speling. Fred

There was a documentary on the "Glacier Girl" called "The Lost Squadron". I've never managed to catch all of it though. It was either on the History channel or Discovery the times I've seen bits of it.

I watched that..it was quite an ordeal to get that plane out and it cost much more to extract it than they thought.  Also the plane was in far worse condition then they thought it would be.  Was a big money pit. Original owner sold it to a millionaire who had the funds to restore it. I then think it was sold recently to an oilman.
If its not an All-Crop, it all crap!

I think I watched that on Iowa public TV long before we had Dish.

From what I remember, they thought all they would need to do is uncover the plane and bring it up. However many decades of freeze thaw cycles smashed them down.
