Since I've had my nose in the WD45 Parts Catalog lately, I see a Transport Valve listed that mounts where the remote coupler bracket normally would be, and that valve assy. then has the coupling on it. What's the purpose of using this instead of just the remote coupling?

When you pull Implement with traction booster in use,you need that valve to make it work....s/c plow with hyd tail wheel, s/c disc with hyd cyl etc....it keeps tool in ground while letting lift arms transfer weight. It bypasses pressure trying to lift Implement....out for T/B and all the way in when in hold position.

It a relief valve that releases at about 700 PSI. The idea is the TB will get pressure to the lift arm first to transfer weight. Then When the pressure increases too much oil goes to the remote ram and lifts whatever it's attached to.

I have one on my 45d for a 13’ disk.
I’m thinking that Allis had the transport valve (which adjusts the psi) and the transport lock valve (locks hydraulic coupler). I could be wrong but I think I seen both but could have been something different.

When closed, the transport valve makes it just like a single line outlet. When open it returns to the fill opening. Cannot hold implement in raised position when pump is set to "hold" and transport is open.

So than if it leaked inside, it wouldn’t hold?
