I bought a wd45 gas with factory power steering a little while back the throttle does not stay down when you pull it down my wd was the same when I bought it and I put on the throttle return spring on it was missing. I bought a throttle return spring for a wd45 with power steering but I don't see how it will go on any other ideas why the throttle won't stay down any help appreciated

3 WD45's with power steering,G,D15 fork lift,D19, W-Speed Patrol, "A" Gleaner with a 330 corn head,"66" combine,roto-baler, and lots of Snap Coupler implements to make them work for their keep.

Also the springs on the back side of the quadrant get rusty and lose their strength,that's what happensd on my WD.

Those pictures are all AC factory power steering
The char-lyn uses the original spring
Factory PS has all different linkage
Char-lyn just has a bend in long rod

i am in edgerton ohio or the exstreme NW corner of ohio and i have a 1956 wd45 with factory power steering and need the throttle spring you pictured but cant find a part number for it or anyone local that knows what i am talking about the phone number on the forum is disconnected. Looking in my old parts manual, I believe the part number is 70228470.
I think AGCO still sells them.

Toolmaker,  You might try J C's Farm & Garden Supply, in Bourbon, Indiana (formerly Norm's Toys in Bourbon) 


Phone No.:  219-299-4708  I bought one of the correct throttle springs from J C for my WD 45 Factory Power Steering a couple years ago.  Hope this helps.  RickM(MO)

I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR HELP THANKS TO YOU FOLKS I KNOW HAVE MY BABY BACK IN USABLE SHAPE AND CAN NOW GET PROJECTS FINISHED UP BEFORE THE SNOW FLY'S IN NORTHWEST OHIO WHICH WILL BE VERY SHORTLY. A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO DAKOTA DAVE FOR THE MANUALS THEY ARE A GREAT HELP!!! RickM(MO)for the parts location in Bourbon and Don(MO)for the pics and his help.
