WD-45 and CA Lift Latch Restoration

   Guys:
I am going to do a restore on two sets of my WD-45 lift latches as well as the lift latches for my CA. Would you recommend removing the hinge rivet and separating the tops from the hook portions or just leaving them together? I'm going to sandblast, paint and install new springs, and rivets but just not sure how to go about doing the hinge rivets.

Also, do the CA lift latches use the same small twist rivets like the WD-45 latches or are they straight through rivets? I had a junk latch I messed with and it seems like they are the whole length through the tube.

	I did mine a while back. Just forced off the washers. Then put new springs on and new washers and repeened. Worked out well.
