This was also at the auction today....
 
 
Glass jar, with a small pin 'bobber' inside, and a float in the tank to read the fuel level.
 
Its not original, but I thought it was kinda cool! Someone was thinkin!

When I was a kid, we had an aftermarket gas cap on our WD that had a gauge built into it. It was about 4 inches tall above the tank opening, and the bottom of it extended to nearly the tank bottom. Don, I decided that I had too much work to do at home to go to Argyle today. Looks like you had some rain this morning. Did you buy anything?

Nope, my hands were broke today, and lost my bidder number! lol
 
That WD sold for $850, and the 160 with loader only brought $1300. I think it was bid back in. Looked rough to me, had a hard life. Also a 3-14 SC plow brought $100. Thats it for the orange stuff.
