I have a box of WD parts I bought at some point.
In it is 2 water pumps.
One the bearings feel terrible the other they seem nice and smooth and it feels like the seal is still there.
Is there a way to test this?
I’m thinking of plugging the small outlet and filling it with water to see if it drips.

Yes that is a concern.
Probably not worth the risk.
