WD style rotor and spark plug wires?

   So looking at ignition tune up kits, and I see they all basically include the first rotor... However, on a few WDs I have worked on, I have seen the style with the J hook tab. Does it matter which one is used? The J hook seems harder to find, but Brillman does carry it.

Also, if replacing my spark plug wires, do people prefer the cotton weave style that just clicks on, or do they prefer the EPDM style wires with the boot that covers the connection?

Just slowly working through my parts needed for restoring and updating my WDs and stuck on which path to choose for these parts.

	I personally stay a way from the kits,as they are mostly china junk.Echlin from napa is still good quality. The rr 301 rotor is the hook style like what was in them originally.Echlin #s cap rr145 , rotor rr301, points cs763, condensor rr174

	R&R equipment, former Allis Dealers call the J hook rotors "anti kick back rotors". Used when hand cranking your AC. Since I bought my 1st one it is all I have bought after that. I get them from NAPA. Our local store has been here since the 1920's they are farm oriented.

	You have to watch what rotor and cap to use together. Some caps use the straight blade type rotor, some caps need to use the hook style. I carry both in stock, but for all the cast iron Delco Distributors I've found the hook rotor splays the spark more evenly to each high tension terminal in the cap. A much better spark is splayed to the cap terminals when I run my rebuilt Distributors on the 504 machine. I noticed a lot less misfires with the hook rotor. If you're also looking for spark plug wires, I offer nice spark plug wire sets for our different model AC Tractors. I use either Belden, Taylor, AC Delco or Packard for the wire along with our Hy Heat Orange spark plug boots.
