I have a front mounted snowblower on a WD. To keep the motor dry, I going to make a pair of shields to keep the snow out. But the problem I have is, I want them to be fairly tight but easily removed. No holes drilled on the tractor because it will go from one WD to the next. Has anyone out there ever made a pair with some type of latch that turns?

Corn-picker side shields work? I might have a spare set, surely someone on here does?

The front of each shield is held by a small clip which projects out from a stove bolt on the side of the sheet metal radiator shell.  The bottom of each has 2 L shape clips which sit on the channel of the left and right sides.   The top is held by 2 steel strips which slide up and down and held by bolt and wing nut to engage the under side of the tractor hood.   Simple and would be easy to fabricate.    Also has flared out slots to allow for air flow; I use mine when we must run the PTO generator in rain and snow!

I got an extra set but there always seem to be a set on ebay. Nice thing about the corn picker shields are the access door for the oil fill .

Luv the Allis Chalmers corn picker shields.  They are not cheap.  However, they would work great for what you want to use them for.  Good luck!
