My WD started running rough, not having power and killing. I would appreciate any help. I need help on troubleshooting.

- Checked inside the tank: Clean
- Checked fuel flow from tank to bowl, bowl through line, and then cracked the drain on the carb. All is good
- removed the carb and took all apart, inspected and cleaned. Was not much to clean.
- Adjusted idle mixture screw to 1 1/2 turns out. Set load screw to approximately 1 1/2 turns out.
- Checked the plugs (running Campion J8C). All are black. Cleaned them all . Set them to .030" I turned it over with plugs out to check the spark and it looks good.
- Checked the points over. Some cloudy/discoloration on them. Polished them up, set them at .020"
- Took the valve cover off and cranked over. All valves seem to move as they should.

I have had this tractor for about 30 years and had very little problems with it. I keep it in a shed. It has the magneto. I run it about 50 hours a year with a back blade and a brush mower.

It's probably time to have the magneto rebuilt and recharged.

you can randomly try a new coil and condenser to see it that helps.. I have done that a couple times with success... 6 months ago i bought a "reconditioned" unit off this site from one the "rebuilders" and it made a world of difference.... Getting a new coil / "GOOD" condenser and point and recharging the magnets and new parts for the impulse is a LOT more than i was doing... and it runs GREAT.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.
