 Topic: WD lifting round bale front weights

i will be working my WD pretty soon.. I have a narrow front and will lifting round bales with bale spear from the 3-point hitch we out on it,, I can not find wheel weights for it around here in southern Indiana and not sure what else to do besides weld a hanging bracket on front for regular tractor weights.. Or if anyone one has some wheel weights in the Indiana area let me know!

Put a loader with a bale spear on the front and separate you hydraulics with a divertor valve so you can use both the loader and lift arms by shifting the valve. Any kind of weight will work and reg suitcase weights are way cheaper than WD stack weights. If you have them on hand building a bracket for suitcase weights would be most economical.

I have factory original front WD donut wheel weight that go on the front rims. $200 a pair. Located in South West Ohio. 45013

Charlie, unless he has power steering , he might be better off picking and moving at the rear of the tractor. Shouldn't be too hard to lash down some weight over the bolster. Gary

Gary, He might need PS but I was saying you could use the front bale to counterbalance the back one. The problem with that is with a loader the weight might be too far forward. I got it, make smaller bales.LOL

You can fill the front tires with calcium corrode, That will add about #50 per tire to the front end.

When I get some better rims I will fill them with something,, I will just lash down some weight,, We have moved round bales with it before without any problems just wanted a little more weight.. thanks all for posting

if your gonna fill the tires I'd use rim guard (beet juice) will not rust the rims out like calcium will, not harmfull to the ground and tastes a whole lot better if you get sprayed (don't ask), cleans up real easy also
