If you want to hold it in a set position, you need to use the settings for 'Hold Position'. Drawbar control is another term for draft control, which basically senses the pull on the drawbar and sends pressure to the lift cylinders. Mainly used for plowing or other mounted ground engaging implements.

Yes, set it for the "hold" position, there is a diagram on the right side of your battery box the tells you where to put the setting knobs.

Would this cause the three point to lift no matter if the control lever is up or down?

That set up might be real hard to control since you are using the lift arms directly connected to the 3 point of the implement. On a "real" 3 point set-up there is a second set of arms that connect to the implement and a connection between the 3 point arms and the tractor lift arms. With the same movement of the lift arms and the geometry of the 3 point correct, it would not lift as high or as fast and you would not need that notch cut out of the platform.

I had a valve stuck inside the pump that kept it pumping all the time no matter where the lever was. You could have a linkage problem also.

Yeah I'm not really sure why he set it up the way he did... Hes gone nowso we will never know. All I know is when you go to lift it it only goes up.... not down.
THanks for the replys though I will try and dig into this farther next time Im around the property.

If the unloader spool is stuck inside the pump it will go up anytime and not down. If your traction boost linkage is messed up, it could go up with the lever down also. Check out the TB linkage and if all seems right, you may have to get into the pump.
