yes you can put a bushing in the clutch and one brake but you better look close at your shaft.

I have repaired several of them. I have not found a shaft that was not worn.
Where in Wisconsin are you?

New shaft is available from Steiner. It will be worn somewhat. Pedals have to be bushed at machine shop. Have to do both to get it all tight. Even a bit of shaft wear will let the pedal flop around a fair bit. Steiner shaft is very inexpensive.

I take the shaft and pedals to my local fab shop. They make a new shaft and put new bushings in the pedals. Well worth the money.

That brake and clutch shaft is $49 at steiner. I paid $200 to my machinist friend to make one. I'm not complaining it was not available at the time. Just the advantage of mass production. Part number is ACS2678.

The shaft has special tapers. To do it like the original you would need to make a cutter. I have a new shaft on the shelf $35.00 plus the ride.

The shaft on my narrow front 45 was worn pretty bad. I welded it up and filed it back round. Worked good. Then got lucky and got some great pedals on E-bay.
