I took the gear shift tower off this 45 which as I posted before has set 30 + years and won't shift. Gears and forks and end of stick all look real good !
But I can't slide the forks and shafts they are on .
I guess I'll tear it down and clean and lube the detents and shafts etc .

Thanks Mike !

I'm using PB Blaster and getting the shafts to move with a rubber hammer .
I hope time PB and patience will keep me from a tear down .
Gears , shifter , and forks look real good !

Jim,
The shift lever has a lot of leverage on moving these forks. Is that how you have it set up out of the tractor? So you can use the shift lever to move the forks?
I assume the actual gears will move on the shafts in the transmission?
Regards,
 Chris

only one rail will move at a time. With all rails in nutual, move one , then back to nutual, then move another.            MACK
