I am looking to bump up the compression , which pistons are the best choice? I have heard of HC wc pistons or  should I be looking for some 175 pistons? I am looking for ease of application and want more power out of it to pull in the antique pulling class. Sure I have cam shopping to do,  but I want to see what the options are here first.

I thought I read on here several times that you can put WC, WD pistons in the 45 and since the pin is further from the top it ups the compression. You may have to do some measuring and ask around because I have heard different kits have different height pistons.

You can buy a kit from A&I that comes with 1/8" overbore liners and flat top pistons.  That bumps the compression as well since the dish is missing where the "power crater" used to be.

It sure made a difference on mine.  I think I should be running premium fuel sometimes since it knocks a bit when you really work it plowing or what have you.
