wd 45 fire rings

Do I need the fire rings the new gasket set did not have them when I tore it down there was no rings with the new gasket on the block there is a space between gasket and inside of sleeve about a 1/8 inch if so does Agco have them or are they available other places Thanks Tom

If it is a gas, they are made in gasket.        MACK

Here is what my gasket kit looked like on the WD45 I rebuilt a year ago.

Well that may change every thing!:) Sorry for the gas information, I am not a expert on any of this, and did not pick up on the "fire ring" being diesel engine terms.

Have not seen the latest head gasket but have heard they were made like the ones in pictures above.
If it needs fire rings, I can make you some that that are better than what comes with gasket set.        MACK

my head gasket looks like the one above has metal rings on the inside like a gas gasket that's the way the old one was just second guessing myself just don't want to have problems once I get it going done lots of gas but this is my first diesel blocks been rebuilt for proper sleeve stand of pistons machined
