The WD prefix is WD and the WD-45 prefix is 45; what is the prefix on the WC ENGINE serial number?

Thanks

I am no expert but did the early WC (Unstyled) that had the serial number on the back of the block, instead of on the side, have a different prefix (K)?
Seems to me they were different.

The K would be a suffix that designates the compression, it could be K, G, B, GA, KA or PA depending on year but all started with W. I have tractor WC899 with engine W916 in it. All of my unstyled have serial on the back of block with my highest one being W60???K.
