WC's were usually Mag fired unless a change-over to a Distributor was done. If there was a change-over done, we carry rebuilt/exchange Distributors in stock if interested. Rebuilt top to bottom, ready to drop in. If its a Mag, we rebuild those also, but at the present time with my heavy work load, we don't have any Mags ready to roll on the shelf for exchange. Would havta' do your Mag......

If it just needs cleaning up, I't use a wire brush.

An electronic ignition is a great start once the nastyness is cleaned up on the inside. Make sure the main shaft bushings aren't worn to where the main shaft wobbles. If you can move the main shaft side to side, it needs to be rebuilt. If it only moves a fuzz, yer' good to go, and as I mentioned, an electronic ignition upgrade is a good move. If your WC is still 6V, you'll need the 6VPG E.I. kit. We have em' in stock if interested. HTH |
