RW -
We were visiting MNLonnie last summer and he showed us his collection of David Bradleys. My wife decided we had to have one as when she was growing up in the desolate wasteland known as the NorthShore of Lake Superior they had one. So the next time I went on a business trip I came home and found one in the shed, she found it on craigslist. Had a plow on it on the engine is not original but I got it running and next project is to build / buy a cart for it so the mrs. can ride it.
I blame MNLonnie. But you are right, they are kinda kool.
cheers,
Creek

They're good for cultivation... that's about it, haha (in my opinion). If you want to do much else with it, you'd better sell it and get a Gravely. They're built much better and have a much larger variety of attachments.

Hey Creek, I'll take the blame for it but I can't help that she knows what she wants when she sees it. This is the only pic I could find of the one we take to the shows to get around on, there is a second sulky that hooks on behind for me to ride on while our 10 year old drives.

I had a Bolens husky walk behind with plow and cultivator. Painted it up, and got it running. Wish I would have kept it now.

No, but I am probably getting the front tiller attachment for it in the spring. My cousin has about 4 of these. |

I have a Simpicity with 3 speed and a replaced engine. It has a sickle mower attached but doesn't work worth a hoot. I also have a front mount cart that was used for hauling concrete and a front mount snow plow, dozer blade. There are 2 old David Bradleys in Dads barn, no original engines. We have a cultivator, reel mower, plow.

I have a David Bradley that now has a 5hp Briggs engine on it. Used for a while with a sickle bar mower to cut weeds in areas I couldn't get the WD into. Gobs of torque and quite a handful to muscle around, especially without reverse.
Also have cultivator and plow for it but haven't put in a garden on our property yet. |

Lonnie I can't really blame you, it was prolly my fault for bringing her along. At least the fainting goat subject hasn't come up for a couple months. She is looking at pigs now. At least we can eat those. When I agreed to the donkeys I figured they probably only lived as long as a big dog - 8 or 9 years. Much to my shock, after we got them I found out the dang things are prolly gonna outlive me. I am getting pretty good at launching frozen donkey droppings outa the big snowblower. Might try to set up a target. Who knows - could be a new olympic event!
cheers,
Creek

Creek, better put up a net to catch them donkey droppings and have it funnel into a bushel basket so you can add them to the fire once in awhile. If I had em, I'd throw some in with the ear corn and wood.

Creek, if she forgot about fainting goats I might have to give her a call, the babies will start coming in a week or so. It's the least I could do for you.

Lonnie -
I have a feeling the phone isn't going to work for a month or so........although probably right now it wouldn't matter. We have the house torn apart to remodel the kitchen. At least that is how it started. Somehow went all the way into the living room. Just starting to put stuff back in now. Another month and it will hopefully be finished and we won't be living in the basement anymore. So she has other stuff on her mind now. Even the pigs haven't come up lately. How about a pic of your little tracked thingy you bought last year? That is a walk behind type thingy too - not two wheels technically, but ...pretty neat. I dunno where you find that stuff, you sure have some talent there.
CTucker - never thought about burning the donkey droppings. Prolly have to thaw them out / dry them out. The dogs play with them in the winter like they are tennis balls. Come springtime they pretty much leave them alone......
If I could finger out a way to sell them for fuel I'd be a ding dang bazillionaire.
cheers,
Creek
