Actually, there must have been 2 people that wanted it bad for the bidding to get that high.  It's pathetic when the box goes for as much as the toy tractor.

I have never understood the NIB mentallity for farm toys. They suck for display and collect dust like crazy. To me personally i think a box is worth zero. I have bought a few 70's and 80's toys for ther kids and I still threw the boxes away.

the last toy auction my wife and I went to one in the box sold for 1,500 us and that was an couple of years ago. It would take an orginal 190 bar grill that would be worth around 100 bucks with no box on an good day and put it to how they say (the sky is the limit). As for myself who has an bad addiction to toys and memorbila I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for an box as of yet. thxchuckWink
