    Posted: 24 Mar 2018 at 8:46am
It was my lucky day when I opened up Facebook Marketplace last Saturday. A local tire shop posted 2 new Goodyear 14.9-28 / R-1 / 6ply tires. We messaged for a day and they wanted $1300 for them. I met them on Wednesday and bought the set of tires for $400. So glad I went to see them, looked for 3 years for a good set of rear tires for the WD45.

Wonder how old they are,the old Goodyear tires like that would 'skin' off once they were used much.

I spoke with Titan, they told me the tires were made in Ohio and now they are only going to produce the Goodyear “power torque” 24” size for the logging industry. He believes the tires are 10 years old.

On 10 year olds, I'd invest in a set of liners, fer 'em, they don't cost much, and if they do crack some, it'll keep you from having to patch a tube, then put liners in 'em, later, should the worst case scenario come your way.  Round here, they'd prolly cost at least $450 per tire...Thumbs Up

I called the local tire shop to find a set of used 11.2x24’s for my CA duals. They didn’t have any used but had a set of new ones and wanted $50.00 per tire. I couldn’t pass that up.
Thanks & God Bless
