Now you did it. Made me mad and I had to go out and count. 25 tractors,(3 are parts only), an allis 410 lawn tractor, a bolens ridemaster garden tractor, a Gravely zero turn lawn mower, two junk JD mowers,(110 and 116), and a junk grasshopper zero turn on 2.17 acres. Of the 25 tractors, 1=JD M, 1 =farmall AV, 1=International 154 cub lowboy. All others including the 3 parts tractors are AC.

The original comparison was always horsepower per acre.  Way back when, it was assumed that two acres per horse was about right. I don't know how the comparison stacks up now that 100+ HP tractors are the norm and 1000 acres farms go along with them.

14 (all but 1 run) on 500 acres, 4 still work for a living, the rest are mostly for "recreational" use. Who's idea was it to start totaling up our tractors? I hope my wife doesn't see this post
