   Thanks Thanks to Darryl for his patience as it took a lot longer getting the G hauled.
From Washington than i though it was.
And the crawlers came from Brighton Co. sale.

I can't believe that front end stays together on that G, looks like the leverage would tear it right off. Nice looking load.

Glad it got there Richard! When did the driver get ? He must of hammered down with about 3 log books. That company is going to be a good souce for stuff out west to go east. I found that G right across the line in Langely BC through a friend of mine and said they had a local shop convert it to a high crop when he bought it brand new. There was 2 done in all of British Columbia and used it till a couple of years ago. Glad it went to a good home and hope you enjoy. Take care,Darryl

Wondering now if a local shop could/would do a G like that for me, maybe not quiet that high but similar. Corn could be almost ready to pick and still cultivate it !

yes Really thought i was going to slow down on buying tractors but sure has not worked yet.
also pick up a B cane bought it at a Auction.
I use to own it 12 years.

A couple of years ago I entered the USA at Chief Mountain, Montana from Alberta after a backpack. While waiting in line I watched some folks getting wire-brushed pretty good by USA customs - not so much for me but...
I'm tryng to imagine the reaction when this thing came across the border. What sort of hoops does one have to jump through to bring a used tractor into the USA? Any war-stories to tell about the border crossing?

Scott I am told if the tractor was made in the US and under $10,000 it is O.K. I always bring factory manuels (If I have them) and a receipt from the owner with his phone number and date etc. etc. I have gotten a D 21, 220, and this load of G's and other stuff. At Blaine crossing truck route I was told to leave everything in the truck and wait inside. Whole family was with me. After 30 minutes I got back in my truck and left. Asked what I was doing with the tractor and I said I was a collector!!! Did not like that I guess. The G's were no problem. I showed them the receipt, he looked at me and out his booth and said have a great day. I was shocked but did not argue. I always have my paperwork just to plan for the worse. I would do it again. Do you know what the high crop G was used for? Sweetcorn? Nursery stock? Roses? Dahlias? Grapes?

I saw the sale bill for the auction in Brighton but wasn't able to attend (it was only about 20 miles away) How were prices in general there?
With that little cultivator under the G high crop, it really wouldn't do much more then a regular G. Maybe there was a different cultivator for it?

Prices for the crawlers were not to high.
2 of the more rare crawlers were
Cat 60 sold for $6000.00
The Best 60 sold for $10,600.00
But when buying on line and off a picture i think that is why prices were cheap on some of the crawlers and when you figure in the hauling it adds up today.
Not to much info was given about any of the crawlers and it seems most of the auction i have been going to this year and last year are getting worse about even knowing what they are selling.
The Cletrac W painted green i gave $1800.00
The other W $1575.00
The John deere crawler no tag $925.00
These 3 cralwers are all loose not runnings.
They sold a 420 crawler with 3pt for around $3500.00 that would have been real good buy if i would not have ran out of money i would have like to have bid on the 420.
The hitch alone will brings around $2750.00.

I think the JD is a 420, judging by the upper roller. I have a 40C, but they generally don't have the upper track carrier roller.

I think you might be right about the crawler being a 420.
They listed the crawler as a 40 but i need to go to my parts book and i should be able to tell by the casting #.
