Anybody ever use their ‘Majic’ brand paint?
Bought a gallon of the All-Purpose Enamel Interior/Exterior oil base gloss.
Wanting to paint the shower in the house, currently it’s an aqua blueish, wanting it white.
Couple test spots, 24 hrs later paint is tacky, walls and ceiling are steel. A previous owner painted the blueish(yuk).
Anybody have hints on the product? Price was just under $22.00, local hardware store wants $52.00 for Rust-Oleum.
I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Alkylin Enamel paints can stay "tacky" for several days.  Evaporation takes a while. Heat and air flow help........ They also sell a "hardener" than you mix  a couple ounces per quart and that gives a chemical reation that makes the paint dry FASTER and HARDER..  Should be on the shelf next to the paint.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Thanks Steve, was wondering if a hardener would help. The house has central a/c, so plenty of dry air movement, sure does stink though. Thank goodness the house has a 2nd shower to use.

Most definitely use the harder in the isle next to the paint, personally hate that paint as it's a PITA to clean up afterwards. Found brake cleaner is the easiest thing to clean with. Good luck with your project. Going for AC orange walls with AC off white for the hardwares?

Many years back painted bathroom with a gloss enamel -
everyone else was gone for a week on vacation so figured a good time
painted the throne seat and cover also to match walls
Took 4 or 5 days for paint to dry - seems many trips to gas station I was working at to use facilities and trips out around the garage for quick relief .
Next bathroom I painted didn't paint seat - just got a new one

Coke, that reminds me of the time I thought I'd surprise my wife while she was away at a week long conference and install a 1 piece shower/bathtub unit, as we only had a makeshift shower in an old bathtub. Seeing how the whole thing wouldn't fit through the doorways thought heck bathroom needed help anyway so decided to remove the outside wall, replace insulation, update plumbing in the bathroom, finish drywall, paint inside and replace the exterior siding in the area I was working at. Just as I got the wall opened up and a good couple days into the surprise for her I got a sign that I was making a foolish undertaking from Mother Nature in the form of 3 inches of rain over the course of 2 lost days of progress. Moving ahead, my wife's conference came to and end and she called when she was headed home and I had to break the news to her of what I had done or not completed, starting with you could use the facility and be at one with nature, lucky we live in the country, You could hear her scream from the county line. Bless her sole she was patient with me as I finished the job and has put up with my shenanigans for what will be 25 years next week. Oh for memories, life experiences and lessons learned. Why does it look so simple on TV.

Paint on Shower walls i would have looked for Porcelain Paint, would have been pricey and usually only find in a Hardware Store but dries more readily and is harder as to finish.  Tractor paint is fine for tractors or implements, not so much so for inside the home.
