 the lever moves freely but when you put plow in ground nothing works.Can anyone give advice?

Check to see that the linkage is connected (it may be rusted close to the valve boody as well)

The lever pushes the spool into the valve.  Sometimes the spool sticks and you need to pull it back out with a pliers.  Lube the external parts of the spool so that it pops back out when you pull the lever away from it.

Chris this is Bill. This happened to me before. You need to disconnect the linkage and spray with WD-40 and take long nose pliers and work the piston until it is free and moves easy. Call me if you have trouble.

Sorry i'm not meaning to hijack the thread but how does the traction booster work or how do you set it? if you leave the lift arm lever down and push up the traction booster lever is it suppose to raise the lift arms?

The traction booster works by sensing the amount of pull on the bell under the tractor where the tongue of the plow hooks. There is a big spring that will compress as the plow is pulled. When the spring compresses, a valve is moved and the hyd system will lift up on the lift arms just enough to put more weight on the tractor rear wheels. Nearly all of the weight of the plow can be supported by the tractor without changing the depth of cut. The weight of the plow plus the amount of weight that the "suck" of the plow also adds makes for quite a bit of additional weight on the tires only when needed. No need for lots of extra weight on the tractor for efficient traction.
