Tuesday_13-May-2025 A Big Track I found this track in a wet place in our driveway while on my way to the barn; I almost went back to the house for a rifle. Lacking a yard-stick to lay alongside for measurement comparison, I notched a stick and later measured the stick. 19-inches American from heel to toenail. It is not even close to the examples of bear tracks I found and too big to be anything else. The only thing I can figure is that it must be from one of these coon-footed neighbor girls around here; but, what on earth she would have been doing barefoot in our driveway before feed time of the morning after a light rain is beyond me. |
