Hey all,
we have puncture vine/ goat heads all over, and its time for new tires on the one lawn tractor, so I asked you folks who makes the best lawn tractor tires? I am looking for the slightly less common 20x10.00-10 for my Sears Craftman silver body yard tractor, and the same size tire is on our 618? or 611? Allis Chalmers yard tractor. the one tire is still good on the Craftsman, and mates to the one good one on the Allis, so I will be putting a new pair on the Craftsman since its currently running. Those two good ones are 4 ply Carlisle Turf Saver Tread. is the Turf Saver still any good? I have also seen some turf oriented Diagonal square tread (I think Titan brand? ) That look decent. I have seen 6 plys available in other sizes. are these hard to mount? any input appreciated, thanks! |

You want Carlisle Multi Track C/S if they come in that size. 6 plys can be hard to mount. We had a special machine to mount them, helped a lot.

I looked up those 6 plys, and decided they may not be for me. Price was a major factor. :)
I am thinking some 4 plys with tubes may get by good. now, what brand is best? Carlisle, Deestone, Duro, Nanco, etc? I saw on the 6 ply Carlisle that those are USA made, but IDK about the turf saver 4 ply. |
