I am looking at setting up a compact diesel pulling class here in Ontario to run with our mini mods. One set of rules that I received from a club has a 183 cube limit. I was thinking of decubing a 200 ci. AC. Either that, or make the cube limit 200 ci. LOL! Any thoughts?

The 433 is alright but you're going to be fighting a siamesed port 4 cyl engine and that exhaust port is going to get a little to "busy" inside to make big torque at high RPM's. 

I have no idea what kind of rules you're up against or what kind of power you need to make but if it were me I'd do something stupid like the John Deere 3029 engine (3 cyl 2.9L or 177cid) which is going to be heavy like the 433.  If I hated myself even more I'd build a Deutz.  The little JD at least has a real cylinder head to work with rather than some abomination of iron....the AC engineers must have hated the pattern makers.  The Deere also has a real crankshaft, big diameter straight lifters and support around them.

There's the 152 Perkins, the 3 cyl versions of the 912 and 913 Duitz engines (just over 200 cid), the JD 202 4 cyl, Ac 433.  But these engines are heavy.  Depending on what you are doing for a weight class you may want to make a 210 CID limet to allow much easier and more selection of engines.
