Getting my 1920H ready for mowing, it seemed to start really hard late last year. Would not turn over fast enough to start. Put battery charger on it and would start right up. Checked battery and showed to be good. Used another battery, and same thing. Could it be something to do with timing? Thinking about new plugs. Anything else that would help? Thanks for any help. rrhead(SD)

How did you check the Battery? Did you pull a draw test on the Battery? I would think that if it was the Starter or Cables, it would do the exact same thing. Spin slow. With the charger on it, it fires right off.  Do a draw test on the Battery. If you don't have a draw tester, bring the Battery down to the local Auto Repair shop. They'll usually do a draw test and not charge you. Only takes about 15 seconds to find out if the Battery is tuckered out or not....

Thanks for the responses. Steve, I just used one of those checkers with the positive and negative cables, then push button for a few seconds to check. I have the battery out for the winter. Will take to NAPA and have them check before I put in. Thanks, rrhead(SD)

P.S. I will be interested in hear when you check out your 620. I have a 720 than doesn't seem to charge. Plan on using this summer, but will probably keep charger on it in between use. Would like to fix problem correctly some day.
