My father inlaw has one that is giving him problems.
He said it kicks power steering fluid out the resevoir when he is running it.
Any ideas where to look.
It's a Charlynn setup about 45 years old.

i am the last person that probably should be answering this, but since no one else has here is what i did....but i havn't run it much since to tell you if the fix worked long term. My charlynn reservoir was leaking only while running...found that under the nut and washer on top, someone had cut innertube pieces for gaskets....i removed them and cut a round gasket from thick gasket paper..put it on and no more leaks while running....however i don;t think mine has the correct washer with hole in it for venting so i cannot say if mine will build up pressure or vaccuum in the reservoir after a while but it stopped leaking while running it in my shop...hope this helps

I talked to him about it today. He said it has been doing it from the gitgo 40 plus years ago. He brazed a copper tube off the lid and stuck a hose on it so it would run out away from the engine. It was slobbering all over the engine and making a huge mess.
He said he talked to his Allis guys when he put it on and they said they had never heard of such a thing.
Thought maybe one of you guys had run into this problem before.
I told him to put some Lucas PS syrup in there and see what happens.
