Was thinking this morning, when I'm parting out this B it will be gone forever. Thought we should have a place on here where we could list the serial # to tractors that have benn parted out , burnt in fires, scraped etc. that way when someone is looking for a piticular tractor they could look and see if it is listed. I know it would be hard to have them all and the list would be incomplet but it would be a place to start.

I think that's a good idea except for the fact that our owner registry still doesn't work, it would be nice to have that back.

I've thought of that too of the ones I'm personally responsible for helping their way to the AC afterlife. I was always going to keep a log off all of them but never started and now it's grown too long to think about, 3 WC's, 2 WD's, a D17, 2 B's and 1 C. Somedays I feel guilty about not being able to save every one of them, but at least alot of the parts got recycled to go on another tractor, vs. sometimes you go to the scrap yards, and you see the whole tractor sitting on top of the scrap pile ready to be pulverized.

From the B parts I got from you to help save my B, Chuck, I'm really glad people take the time to part them out. It's kinda cool to look at my B, and realize I have parts from probably 10 or 12 different States. People that part out tractors provide a real service. Edited by GBACBFan - 07 Feb 2010 at 12:48pm |
