 Topic: 7080 Rear wheel weights

I am looking for a set of at least two rear wheel weights to fit a 7080. They have to be a three hole weight to mount up. I am not sure if any other 7000 series weight will mount up due to the fact that a 7080 has a larger rear axle and wedges. I have tried "pie weights" off my D-19 they do not work due to the large axles. I am looking for something that would be fairly easy to put on and off (they will stay on most of the time) for tractor pulling. I want the weight mainly for field work

The weights on the 7045 in the above photo are 300lbs each. They take 5/8"x 5.5" carriage bolts to mount. If you have a forklift, they are very easy to mount & dismount.
AC also made a bigger flat styled weight that could be stacked on the inside of the rear wheel castings. They weighted 450lbs each, but you have to remove the rear wheel to install them.

Howdy,
I don't know if all 7000 series had the same size tires,but they do have pie shape weights also. One bolt per weight and would be easy to take off and on. I have a complete set and was going to use on another tractor because i think they look better then the donut type.

Thanks guys. The weights on the 7045 i dont think will work due to the fact that the 7080 has a larger rear axle they look pretty tight against the hub in the pic. I have two inner wheel weights on each side already. I also have a set of "pie" weights off of my D19 they will not work either (ive tried they miss by about 1/8 in), and i dont want to grind on them or the tractor. I am mainly trying to add weight for the field. I took the cab off of it and am trying to replace some of the lost weight.

I think they will fit, because that's what my 7060 had and it has the bigger long axle. I've got 4 of those and 4 of the bigger ones Eric mentions as well as 2 bigger donuts that mount on the outside of the rim, if you're close enough to the OK panhandle to be interested.

Thanks for the help guys. OK is a little far for me to go i'm in OH. I know the 80 and 60 are different the 60 has 6 square holes per side and the 80 has 3 tapped holes. Both of my tractors have the long axle (boy those are nice without duals on!) The wedge size is different on them. The 60 has 3.75in axles and the 80 has 4in. If i get a chance i will measure the wedge diameter and post it.

I try to clear things up here, The wheels from any 7030-8550 series tractor will work on any model, that being said the wedges are different to fit the various axle sizes. The O.D. of the installed wedges are the same so your weights will work. As many of you know the 38" wheel for the 7080 is thicker, thus heavier also. HTH, Mike

I was thinking that the axles on my 60 were 4 in., but you're right, they're 3.75. The OD of the wedges is about 8.75 in. The 300 lb. weights have an ID of 10.5 in and an OD of 22 in. The bigger weights I have are 10 in. on the ID and 27 in. OD, and about the same thickness of 4 in. HTH.
