Local fair Antique pull, track was prepped and looked good but then it rained hard for 1/2 hour. Track was mush so they took a grader and dozer and took off about a foot. Left a dry slick track.
I pulled 6,000 and 5,000 classes with the 17 and didn't make a top five in either class. I had all my weight on the rear wheels but still spun out easily. I ran 8 lbs of air so maybe I needed to air them up. They started heavy and went light (12,000 down) and it was interesting to see a M-TA pull from the top and he did pretty good. He dropped all the way down to 6,000 so that was a lot of weight slinging he had to do. A 88 diesel did the same but he didn't do as good. Odd that I typically weigh in at 4990~8 most of the time, this one I came in a 4580 so the scales were off a wee bit. They said had 200lbs figured for wheelie bars when zeroed out. Not sure where the other 200 lbs came from. I ran out of weights at 5600lbs so the other pullers had more weight to move around. Live and learn! |

i run 10 in my wd did good, than bumped it up to 12 after a couple pulls and did better, i have narrow tires though so i think i just dig down and bite vs floating on the top with wider tires
