I can't seem to get into the Farm Eq side of things here, but am hoping others who can't might see this over here and be able to help. I have a 1941 model C (confirmed w/ S/N) I am restoring that was my Grandfather's. Decals are marketed for it in both blue and black - and with a short A & S and a long A & S. Can anyone tell me which combination of those things is correct? I have seen photos of all combinations in restorations, but want to be as authentic as I can. The hood on it has short A & S but is so sun faded, I cannot tell the original color. Making an assumption that this hood is original and Grandpa didn't replace it for some reason with anything that might fit, I'd tend to go with the short A & S but still dont know color. We have found that he had modified plenty of other things as we've been restoring, so that is certainly a big assumption! Please sahre any info you might have. Thanks so much!
