Hey guys, I was sitting here thinking in the middle of a blizzard what I need to be working on before to long.  I have a wd45 diesel high crop that I would love to get to restoring this summer and just making it just how I want it.  My Dad, Brothers and I just love going on tractor drives with any allis chalmers tractor and I think this would be a great one!  I am planning on making an extra seat so my wife can ride along with me and just adding some additional things.  I think I may add a radio and some extra flashers or lights.  Maybe some front fenders.  I just wanted to share.  Do any of you guys have any projects that are just waiting for you in the shed?   I have more than one but this one I am really excited about.  Thanks!

Well lets see, I have a 58 D17D that I have the head off and need to pull the engine to fix it properly, a 52 8N Ford that doesn't run quite right and has a couple small leaks after I installed a new long block in. A 383 Chevy engine to drop in my 98 Silverado. I'll probably put a soft parts kit in the trans while I have it apart. Sheesh, I got too much to do...

Finish the tranny on the D-15 thats in the shop before I have to go back to work. I'll be in Daytona Feburary 3rd. I'll still need to paint the hood, fenders and radiator shell. I'll most likely paint it when it warms up some. I'll have the loader back from sand blasting when I finally get home mid-march. I hope to paint the loader at the same time. I also have some finishing touches on my 9020 that I went through. I have an HB212 to convert the hydro to a late model Sundstrand hydro and ad power steering to. Replace the right side fender and door of my pu truck. Still have a few service things to do to my rig and trailer before I leave for Daytona too. Think I have enough to fill my week and a half up?

Right now this is the only post I can open on Farm Equipment so I might as well add my 2 cents.  In the shop is the 1949 C with a bad cylinder and piston, an IHC super A that needs to be finished and painted and a 1959 Jeep FC 170 with a 327 Chevy that needs a paint job and glass and a lot of odds and ends.  Then outside is the.... ok, enough for now!

D-17D that blew a head gasket and the old owner left the coolant in the cylinder and it rusted causing the engine to sieze up, 1938 B in need of a full engine overhaul that I have been slowly gathering parts for, a IB that needs fenders, brakes and paint, my sisters B that needs two front wheels, one rear swapped to the new tire, and paint by july for local tractor show, WD-45 that just needs finished cleaning and painted, and for non AC I have a 47 John Deere A that the old owner forgot to install the oil pump drive after a complete overhaul, 3 ford N's that a lady gave me after her husband passed that I hope to fix and sell, and a fordson that a guy put oil down the cylinders to keep it from locking up which effectivly lossened all the carbon and rust which is now floating loose in the cylinders and he took the carb apart and lost most of the pieces. Of course their is alot more to work on around here but that is the general stuff that comes to mind

1938 B, 1945 B, 1941 IB, 1949 C, 2 1938 WCs, 3 1950 WDs, 1951 WD, 2 1955 WD45, 1957 D-14

Ah, let's see: there's the C whose crushed gas tank and gummed up carb need attention; the G that needs its brakes ungummed and engine work (it blows smoke out the breather tube under load); the CA whose hand clutch doesn't work and whose brakes are the pits; the D14 that needs a snowplow setup for next winter.....and the WC that needs a GOOD paint job! Now, if I can just get the workshop finished, we'll get started!

In the process of a complete teardown, fixing issues and rebuild to the motor from my '38 A.  Got a different block coming, along with a set of main bearings, from my "uncle" Fred in Pa.  The heads are at the machine shop, along with the crank to get polished.  Gotta get after some liner o-rings.  Gaskets are on their way.  Gotta get my headlights and generator mounted up after the motor's put back together.  I was thinking about getting a few things chromed out...kinda like "pimpin' my A out"  lol  I probably won't do any new sheet metal or paint or tires until next winter.  I want to get it running good, get everything mechanical checked out and re-done if need be, and just use it a little before it gets the full make over treatment.  Also always on the lookout for the next project...lol

IB restore for my granddaughter, D17diesel engine and power director rebuild, D14 transmission bearing, brake job, lift cylinder rebuild, transport valve to install after I make a return line, and possibly some engine work.  A 190XT fuel system clean and repair, and pump and injector rebuild.  1945 WC wide front rebuild and install, install Sherman overdrive.  By then my money will be long gone.  LOL
Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives.

About everything I have needs some work... 44C w/Woods L406 needs electrical work for the Starter/Alternator, 38B needs the rear tires unloaded, 38B w/Woods L59 needs the crack in the block repaired, 38B w/Sickle mower needs to be rebuilt. 89 Ford F150 needs Fuel Injector work... Unfortunately all this equipment is in Kansas and right now I have found I'm having a hard time getting out of Colorado!

Starting on this one, my first tractor. Cool feeling to be truning wrenches on a machine that my grandfather nurtured, and maintained! Uncoverd some really foul smelling crud this weekend.

Got a 54 Willys Jeep in the garage I need to get running.  A D14 sitting by the barn with a stuck engine.  An I need to finish up the D14 I started last year.  Hopefully I won't run into anymore surprises on that one!  Just fix things to run and play with, I don't restore.

Finish WD 45 replica made out of old wheel horse for the grandson. Find out what is grinding in my 71 Jeep J2000 pickup rear end. New starter drive on the WD45. New plow shares on the plow. Drag in a WD wide front carcass that I have had my eye on awhile. (possible puller; dont tell the wife)
sometimes I walk out to my shop and look around and think "Who's the idiot that owns this place?"

That's easy everything we own except the year old BW180 Woods and 10 year old 1020 grain platform. So basically everything that needed it last year and previous years too but as long as you know whats broke you can make it work for a long time. Just like a tractor as long as you know whats wrong you can drive it for a long time except these new ones that can have a sensor go bad and leave you stranded.
