Just like my TT10 I recently brought down to Texas. Barn find that had not been run since the mid 70's and is in surprisingly good condition. Sandy Lake can get the seat pads and they are 99% like the originals on the white piping (decals also available). We ended up putting a Chapparal snowmobile fuel tank in mine and it was a direct bolt-in with the original retainer straps and original fuel pick-up, but no means to fill via the tube. Have the original tank and will have my radiator man take a stab at fixing it as most cracked around the top fill spout over time.
Had it out today and quite a difference on the concrete pasture down here, vs. the moist ground up in upstate NY. Ran her hard for about an hour and the little JLO did just fine in 100F heat.
Can't wait till it rains as that is the most fun with a TT. Slip and slide, and go anywhere. Still have to treat my tires with Berryman's as six new tires was not cheap and the mesquite thorns will eventually find them.
These things are an absolute blast to play with.
