 Topic: D15 series 2 Hydraulic pump

I am new to using a tractor, i got a AC D15 series 2 tractor, the hydraulic pump was given to me in a bucket of oil, and a makeshift motor was installed on rear of tractor, (which works fine) however i would like to have the old pump fixed or replaced, if any member has a pic of a D15, and the location to where the pump mounts too, I would be grateful of any help. many thanks in advance. i am a new member to the forum here, and the info is awesome. located in B.C. Canada.......................whiteheather

The factory Hyd pump would have been located inside the torque tube. An optional pump could have been in the belt pulley location.

Are you looking for the pump that powers the rear lift or do you have a loader for the tractor that you need a pump for? Loader pump is low pressure/high volumn pump mounted in front of grill, rear lift pump is mounted in the belly of the tractor behind the clutch housing just inside the cover plate with the drain hole.

I have this one that is missing the front plate....if you have the plate, measure the distance between the holes. This one might work for you.

If it is the factory installed high pressure low volume pump used for the rear lift arms it will be mounted in the belly of the tractor ran off of cam lobes on the main shaft in the torque tube. It would be in the same location as the one I circled in this picture of a D17...  If it is a factory auxiliary pump used for a loader or anything else it could be up front driven of the engine front crankshaft pulley or in place of the belt pulley on the right hand side of the torque tube between the engine and operators station. Or could be aftermarket ran off of the PTO out the rear of tractor.

Check to see if it looks like something was bolted to the front of the tractor. Most have a splined shaft that ran under the radiator and slid into a coupling on the crankshaft pulley. They usually had a double row chain coupler from the shaft to the pump....and a sheet metal cover over the pump to protect it.

Oops I missed that part... Sorry Then it may have looked like this...  This is the A-C setup for the 400/500 series loaders on my 19. On a 15 the grill would not need to be cut out.

Eldon Hate to be picky but the way I remember it: the 400 Series loaders ( 445, 414, 415, 417 } had the pump out front like in your picture, and the hydraulic oil was in the loader frame. the 500 Series loaders ( 517, 519 ) the pump was on the R/H side of tractor, and hydraulic oil was in the normal location for 'D' Series.
