Sorry if some are tired of hearing this , I know the subjects been discussed alot , Im really still in the AC days , luv to work on them and hear a 301 diesel hum , but buy alot of parts from Agco , but why would you drop the core brand the dam company was almost founded on !!!! Why wouldnt you build on it ???? You would be losing a history of an ORANGE image so many relate too on farms all over the country , all over the world ; release a new line of tractors and - POOF- changed our minds; that says alot about some top xects to me ; I know times change , you roll with it , even folks I haved talked to that bleed other colors think this is a very poor business decision , the more I think about it , the more it gets me !!! A previous post had it right- keep the RED in CHINA , build orange here !! Ok , Im done

There is no rhyme or reason for it. If they were doing it across the board I'd understand but they aren't. Their targeting their big tractor best seller after coming out with a new big tractor.

Doug, I agree with you 200% on this. Really sad and they could continue to build off of ALLIS-CHALMERS. |

So? Win the big lottary, buy enough AGCO stock to hold a majority, then vote yourself to the board of directors and change the operation the way you wish.

Makes a guy wonder just how many times we really need to beat this horse! It is my personal opinion (which is just that, an opinion) that allis chalmers has been dead for over 20 years. There is no more allis chalmers in the current line up of agco product then there is in the TS115A out in my drive shed. I love Allis-Chalmers tractors, we have in our family, two 185's, a 7020, an 8630 fwd and my old WD. We also have a couple of Case IH, And a few New holland's, pretty much all of which replaced previous Allis tractors. When we needed tractor's when I was a kid, it was just a given that it would be an allis chalmers as they were the local dealer and it was just smart buisness to deal there. Dad had a 6080 two-wheel drive that he bought brand new in 1982. I remember thinking I had the world by the short and curlies when I learned to drive that tractor. I also remember thinking the world was going to end the day he traded it in on a shiny new Zetor 17 years and 9500 hours later. But time and evolution moved us on and we will too. We need to be thankful that agco is going to continue to supply us with parts for the old orange that we still have, and aftermarket market companies will be there to help us with some parts as well.

I have to agree with Kevin on this. The only thing that tied AGCO and Allis Chalmers together was the orange paint.
