Hello All-
Just wanted to share some harvest pictures that I took. This was my neighbor in the field just east of my place. Sure is nice to see some orange in the fields when there is so much green and red around. I especially like the lines and the look of that 9455.
Best regards,
Troy
P.S. The dryest corn around here has been 25%.............And, many have been picking in the rain........

My neighbor got a load dumped Monday afternoon that was 20.5, the driest he has had but he said the test weight isn't good,52 lbs maybe. He didn't have to wait in line anytime Monday, so maybe winding down as far as dryer corn around he. There is still a lot of corn out there though.

You must not be talking about a Hugger head. Take a look at one you won't be sorry.

One thing about the deere heads is they are pretty universal fit, A friend used to buy gleaners and do custom work started with Fs then Ms andLs and then got into rotaries every time he would change series he had to get different heads. He now runs a green combine. He still has a few gleaners as fill ins runs one with 4 row wide for a couple customers. |

I got finished up a week ago on harvest. Our average corn yield beat our previous best by about 50 bushels. I had 14.9 to 18% moisture and test weight from 53-61 depending on the hybrid. OUr elevator is only open every 3rd day and usually can take about 20-30,000 bushels. The ones down the road are about the same also. |

Our local grain elevator is open 7 am to 7 pm 5 days a week and 7 am to 12 pm on sat during harvest time. sounds like I need to quit farming and build a elevator in Iowa or nebraska if theres that much demand, easy money hedging grain.
