WD is the model of an Allis Chalmers tractor.

That is a question that has been thrown around here before, and the general answer is we don't know, but Dusty is correct, it's only a model of Allis, other than it is in a series of other "Wx" tractors, like WC, WD, WD45, WF, etc.

It means you have a tractor with a W in the model name.

Now if you had a R/T in the model name that is easy.
It either means Rubbish Truck or Real Trouble.

It's kind of like WC, CA, and XT. I would assume that since the WD replaced the WC and D comes after C in the alphabet so that's where they came up with it.
